Corporate Social Responsibility
Since its establishment, The Mercury Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home has provided a welcome holiday for thousands of disadvantaged and vulnerable children from child-headed households, pediatric hospices, children’s homes and orphanages. These children enjoy a structured, fun, educational adventure camp holiday at the Home. The Home adapt age appropriate programs for the visiting groups to include exercises in leadership, team building, environmental studies, design and technology, survivor camps, and various sporting activities. These activities are designed to build confidence, encourage co-operation and mutual understanding between children – irrespective of their background, race or creed
The Home is a registered Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organization (NPO 930019323). 18A certificates will be issued enabling donors to claim their donation as a tax deduction and Organisations are entitled to qualify for credits under the BEE legislation and regulations. In addition, your donation if required, will be published in the Mercury Newspaper.
We believe that our service provides a much needed respite in the lives of the children and offers them an escape from their often challenging circumstances. The Mercury Hibberdene Children’s Holiday Home Association is a truly worthy NPO and corporate companies are encouraged to adopt the Home as their corporate social responsibility.
Every effort is made to raise in kind, the catering and toiletry requirements and assistance with funding the camps for these children.
Thank you for considering support of our programme, your contribution will directly benefit a child. If you would like any further information or would like to make a donation, please contact us.
